I think that the colorscheme works very well to sell the excitement and freshness of the site. The navigation is very easy to navigate.
Even though I speak english and not the language of the site, I would still be able to navigate through it.
I like the second header much better. The height of the top one pushes your important information too far below the fold. It looks great, but in order to capture the attention of your user with content you need to have the information they need closer to the top.
I also think that you need a call to action at the top. A button of some sort that tells the user what you want them to do next.
Just my two cents. I think that is a great looking site and the small things that I have mentioned would just enhance it even more.
To begin with, the colors chosen from the logo displayed throughout the design is perfect. It is subtle, yet does the job well! I use this technique as well and I find it to work very, very good in class as well as work projects. Excellent job!
Also, the font and font colors chosen work very well together and thus makes the site very easy to read as well as easy to navigate. By doing so, this makes the site even better!
The design itself is clean, semi-colorful and straight to the point. The image selections' contrast each CSS style(s) which makes the site design that much more amazing. I have to say that I really love how every category, section, headers and image placement/sections line up perfectly! By doing this - this website is also designed nicely to be a "print" design that could stand on it's own as well as the actual website design!
The Primary and Secondary Navigation Bar/Sections are very good and the placement is great. You can tell which navigation bar is the most important one. The secondary navigation bar(s) on the left are placed well too.
The photography within this site are/is very good. No pixelation and blurriness! The images are clean and cropped "picture-perfect!" No pun intended. The thumbnail images to the right of the first page is really professional. The effect applied to the images is flawless!

Hope this helps and good luck.
